On June 17th, Li Xiaopeng, Minister of Transport, conducted research and discussions on the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) gantry system of the Beijing Tianjin Tangshan Expressway and the Highway Test Field of the Ministry of Highway Science Research Institute. He requested to further enhance awareness, accelerate the construction of the provincial toll station project for the cancellation of highways, provide in-depth guidance, optimize scheme design, strengthen construction safety management, and ensure the high-quality and timely completion of various target tasks.

Li Xiaopeng visited the ETC gantry system laboratory and its operation at the Beijing Tianjin Tangshan branch of China Merchants Highway, learned about the ETC gantry system at the Majuqiao East toll station on the Beijing Tianjin Tangshan Expressway, and conducted research on the ETC key equipment testing laboratory, driving simulator laboratory (optics), ETC gantry system site, and monitoring room at the highway test site.

Li Xiaopeng pointed out that conducting scientific research experiments on ETC gantry systems is an important foundation and support guarantee for the construction of station withdrawal projects. Various relevant departments and enterprises have conducted extensive research and demonstration, as well as pioneering work, providing clear direction and support for optimizing design schemes and organizing engineering construction in various regions.

Li Xiaopeng emphasized that the cancellation of provincial toll stations on highways is a tight deadline and a heavy task. It is necessary to further enhance ideological awareness, effectively combine scientific research experiments with the specific work of station withdrawal, and continuously optimize and improve the design of the plan. To carry out work creatively, from the perspective of drivers and passengers, continuously improve the recognition success rate of the gantry system, enhance public satisfaction and sense of gain. We need to strengthen the promotion, training, and interpretation of various technical solutions and requirements to ensure that all regions correctly understand and master the key points and technical details. We need to strengthen construction safety management, conduct various functional tests under extreme conditions, and prevent various safety production accidents from occurring. We should carry out the theme education of "staying true to our original aspiration and keeping our mission firmly in mind" under the guidance of the touring guidance group, in accordance with the deployment of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the requirements of the Party's Party group, and strive to build a transportation system that satisfies the people with both hands and promotion.
